Terms of Use

Last updated 27 June 2026

These terms govern your use of MedCPD (“we”, “us”). By using the service you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use MedCPD.

What MedCPD is

MedCPD is a tool that lets organisers record attendance at CPD activities and automatically issue certificates to attendees. MedCPD is an independent tool and is not affiliated with or endorsed by the Medical Council of New Zealand (MCNZ) or RACP. Certificates record attendance only — they are not accreditation. Organisers and attendees remain responsible for deciding whether an activity counts toward their CPD.

Organiser accounts

Keep your sign-in secure and provide accurate information. You are responsible for the events you create and the information you enter, and you confirm that you are entitled to run the event and to record the attendees and details you submit.

Attendees

Please submit accurate information when recording your attendance. Your certificate reflects the details you provide.

Acceptable use

You must not create false or misleading attendance records, upload unlawful or infringing content, or attempt to disrupt or breach the security of the service.

Plans, trials and billing

Organisers start with a free trial and may then subscribe to a paid plan at the price shown on our pricing page. Subscriptions are billed through Stripe. You can cancel at any time; access continues until the end of your current paid period. Nothing in these terms affects rights you have under the Consumer Guarantees Act or Fair Trading Act.

Your content and our IP

You keep ownership of the information you enter, and you grant us a licence to process it so we can provide the service (for example, to generate and email certificates). We own the MedCPD platform, software and branding.

Availability and disclaimer

MedCPD is provided on a reasonable-effort, “as is” basis. We do not guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted or error-free, and we are not responsible for your CPD-compliance decisions.

Liability

To the extent permitted by law, our liability in connection with the service is limited. Nothing in these terms limits rights that cannot be excluded under New Zealand consumer law.

Privacy

Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal information.

Changes

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of MedCPD after a change means you accept the updated terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of New Zealand.
